Vet Tip Friday: What is the normal temperature of your horse? The normal temperature range for your horse is 37.5 to 38.5 degrees centigrade, but horses will often have a normal range that they tend to stay within, some being higher than others. Knowing your horse's normal range is important to try and identify sickness early. This is especially true when travelling horses as identifying travel sickness early will improve the outcome considerably. So if you don't have a thermometer as part of your gear, and kept in your grooming kit then invest today. Or if it has been several years since you bought one then buy a new one as they don't last forever.
