Tweedie & Associates is an equine racetrack and general practice servicing Caulfield and Mornington Racetracks and the Mornington Peninsula. We pride ourselves on providing a professional, caring and supportive veterinary service for our clients and their horses.

Routine Consultations
Tweedie and Associates offer routine consultations between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Emergency cover is provided 24 hours a day.


We are committed to providing the highest level of care to our patients and we realize that developing trusting relationships is vital to enable us to offer a veterinary service that takes into account the individual goals and budgets of our clients.

It is always our aim to be approachable and available for our clients and at the end of the day nothing gives us more satisfaction than seeing our clients enjoying their horses and achieving success in their chosen discipline.


With over 20 years of equine industry experience we are proud of the results and satisfaction we give to our clients, we are committed to the highest standard of care.


Education: M.A.,VetMB, MRCVS (University of Cambridge, England).

Interests: Racing, showjumping and rugby.

Veterinary interests: The management of the equine athlete, from racehorse through to dressage horse through to adult riding club horse. Special interest in new techniques for the management of joint disease and tendon and ligament injuries.

Pets: Two very lovely Labradors called Kelly and Sam and a show jumper called Gonzo.

Lara is the voice of our clinic. When you peruse our website or read one of our client newsletters, it’s her voice you are hearing. When Lara isn’t working part time in our ambulatory practice, she’s busy being a dressage rider and a mum.

Education: BVSc (Hons), Sydney University.

Interests: Dressage and Running.

Veterinary interests: Clinical Pathology, Dermatology and Veterinary Practice Marketing

Pets: A very spoiled Welsh pony called Flirt and an extremely clever dressage horse called Tigger.
